去る2023年10月1日4時30分

二代目園主　福岡雅人氏が享年81歳で永眠しました。

福岡正信氏の長男として、家族の大黒柱として、

両手いっぱいのプレッシャーの中で力強く生きた彼が自然に還りました。

正信氏が自然農法を通じて「無の哲学」の伝道師として命を捧げていた頃

家族に寄り添い、支えたのが長男である雅人氏でした。

偉大な父の跡継ぎとして大きな責任を抱きながらも、

自然農法を「生業の農業」へと昇華。

百姓として、妥協を許さない厳しさと大海原のような優しさで、

いつも家族、スタッフ、多くの研修生を包み込みました。

「自然」に活かされ生きる私たち人間にとって、

「自然の循環」を頭で分かっていても、

彼がいない日々を心で解るには少しばかり時間が必要です。

悠久の大自然は、私たちがともに泣き笑いした春夏秋冬さえも

何もなかったかのように、あらたな明日の陽射しへとその表情を変えるのでしょう。

ただ今は、これから歩み続ける旅路と向き合いながら

彼が燦燦と灯した日々に心から感謝の意を伝えたいと思います。

多くの研修生に「あるべき道」を語り継いでくれた貴方に

百姓として、たくさんの消費者の命を守ってくれた貴方に

絶え間ない愛で、私たちと接してくれた貴方に

時として、少しばかり強がる私を諭してくれた貴方に

そして、家族を守るために帰郷してくれた貴方へ

素直な心で、あなたに伝えたい。

心からありがとう。

Masato Fukuoka, the second generation owner of the farm, passed away at 4:30 on October 1, 2023 at the age of 80.

As the eldest son of Mr. Masanobu Fukuoka and the breadwinner of his family, he lived a strong life under great pressure.

When Mr. Masanobu was dedicating his life as an evangelist of the “philosophy of nothing” through natural farming, he supported his family.

As the successor to his great father, he took on great responsibility and elevated natural farming to “agriculture for livelihood”.

As a farmer, he always embraced his family, staff, and many trainees with his uncompromising rigor and ocean-like kindness.

Even though we understand the “cycles of nature” in our minds, we need a little more time to understand in our hearts the days without him.

The great nature will change its expression to the new sunlight of tomorrow, as if nothing happened during the spring, summer, fall, and winter when we cried and laughed together.

We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to him as we face the journey we will continue on.

To you who have passed down the “ideal path” to many trainees.

To you, as a farmer, who saved the lives of many consumers.

To you who treated us with constant love.

To you who advised us when we were sometimes stubborn.

And to you who returned home to protect your family.

Thank you from the bottom of our heart.
